Welcome to Newcastle Counselling Service. We provide a diverse range of therapeutic services, including trauma therapy, domestic violence counselling, and mental health support. NCS specialises in cognitive and dialectical behavioural therapies, offering expert assistance for children and adolescents, victims of crime, a variety of mental health concerns, grief, and relationship issues.

Tori commenced her journey into mental health in 2005 when she studied for a Bachelor of Psychology before realising her passion for the person-centred approach. Specialises in psychodynamic psychotherapy, grief and trauma counselling, working with children and adolescents, domestic violence counselling, mental health counselling, crisis pregnancy and post abortion counselling, treating depression and anxiety, understanding BPD, family therapy and relationship counselling.

In addition to practising counselling and psychotherapeutic modalities, Tori is a group facilitator, clinical case worker and mental health advocate. Before starting NCS, Tori held previous roles which specialised in suicidality and depression, domestic violence, adolescent mental health, family counselling, unemployment, drug and alcohol recovery, homelessness and community housing in the non-profit and government sectors. Tori has been appointed Official Visitor for the NSW Department of Health for several years, visiting both public and private hospitals across NSW, advocating for mental health patients and reporting back to the Minister of Health.

Tori is a passionate contributor to the ongoing legislative developments within the Family Law Act, consulting on the changes made to address domestic and family violence. Tori has a comprehensive understanding of Family Law practices in NSW and the Department of Family Services.

Tori is currently completing Masters of Counselling and Psychotherapy. She holds a Bachelor of Counselling from the Australian College of Applied Psychology, a Diploma of Community Services Work, AOD and Mental Health.

Tori has held registrations with both the Psychotherapeutic and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) and The Australian Counselling Association (ACA).
​
Tori holds level 3 Victims Services registration.
